Fog of War
Often during armed conflicts, the truth is hard to discern. So when in doubt, Ministry of Truth outlets should immediately trust and disseminate the oppressed party's truths, via reports with explosive stories that expose the oppressive aggressor's war crimes and tarnish their moral standing. Corrections to "accidental" misreporting can be made silently, to minimize damage to the outlet's reputation and mission.
