Exclusionary Bird Naming
Offensive naming conventions with associations to the past that continue to be exclusionary and harmful today. A much more inclusive naming structure and an engaging scientific process, crafted by a broad array of experts and bird lovers, is needed that focuses attention on the unique features and beauty of the birds themselves.
