Kids Online Safety Act
(aka KOSA) It is a goal of the Ministry of Love to mitigate online harm at all costs for our children, so age verification and digital IDs will now be required for all users of the Internet. This will allow appropriate monitoring and responsible censorship of the public information nets, thereby reducing hate speech and uncontrolled information. Unfounded assumptions and scare tactics include:
- claims of unfairness to the undocumented
- fears that it will upload everyone's personal info to the internet (what could go wrong?)
- preventing gender diverse kids from lifesaving info
- suppression of discussion
- allowing parents to monitor and/or approve access
