Thugs
This term is a racist dog whistle which denigrates criminals of color. While criminal activity and lawlessness during excessive celebrations is troubling, this kind of coded language is worse, since it demonizes non-white people as criminals. Gangsters, mobsters, and mafia bosses are nursing their hurt feelings over the slights to their tough guys.
