Forest Management

Big Brother desires a return to the pre-Columbian forest state by banning human actions like logging, clear cutting, thinning, or even grazing.  Human activity, including climate change, is responsible for the vast majority of forest waste and lack of economic benefit from timber harvesting.  Obviously, it is more efficient (and politically beneficial) to contain wildfires after the fact, and to blame the increased emission of CO2 and smoke pollution on warming, rather than shouldering the burden of exploitive long-term forest care.

Pillaging Pebbles

Theft of rocks and shells is a danger to the delicate balance of the coastal ecosystem, especially during dire times when climate change's effects are evident.  We cannot risk losing the sediments on beaches, and unless the beach is preserved, the pebbles will cease to exist altogether.  “It is great to play with pebbles and shells responsibly on the beach but they should be left in the environment where they belong.”  If fines and arrests don't work, the next logical step is to ban people from sensitive beaches.

Preservationism

(a.k.a. Conservation 2.0) is a new alternative view of environmental conservationism.  Nature is better off without human interference and management, which inevitably is driven by greed and exploitation.  The majority of public lands should restrict public access, especially for inhumane activities like hunting, fishing, or grazing purposes, which consistently destroy healthy wildlife, ecosystems, and watersheds.  If it wasn't for continuing human overpopulation, and hence abuse of the environment, forests would not burn in massive wildfires, and animal populations would self-manage themselves.
