This potentially offensive greeting needs to be abolished, because of its antebellum roots, where slave owners mocked slaves who were mourning over lost babies. Despite contrary claims that it is an innocent greeting not backed by historical facts, since it is their truth, others are obligated to not offend them. Alternative greetings might be:

- Sending good vibes
- How did your protest go?
- Blessings of the goddess to you
