There are real wins for the American people under Trump
The Issue
If one listens exclusively to the woke media or to the formerly MAGA black-pillers and doomers of social media podcastistan, you might have come to the conclusion that Trump is destroying America, all hope is goine, and that nothing has gone right in the world since he became president again for his second term. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. Of course, he is not perfect (none of us are), but that is no excuse to paint the world red and try to burn down the conservative movement just because you may be rubbed the wrong way on occasion.
TLDR
In broad terms, there have been a myriad of achievements and accomplishments
- Taxes & Economy: Enacted the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, pre-pandemic historic lows in overall unemployment, record-low jobless rates across minority groups, and lower average annual inflation (i.e. prices are going up far less rapidly than before).
- Judicial, Executive, & Constitutional Transformations: Reshaped the federal judiciary by confirming three conservative Supreme Court Justices and many appellate and district judges, cementing an originalist majority on the bench. The executive branch has been radically transformed.
- Energy Independence & Pro-Growth Deregulation: Boosted domestic oil and gas production while implementing deregulatory policies that eliminated overreaching and burdensome federal rules.
- Foreign Policy Realignment & Peace Accords: Shifted away from multilateral agreements to broker historic Middle East normalization deals between Israel and Arab nations (e.g. the Abraham Accords), engaged in tough international negotiations, and applied leverage to get good deals for America through his strong leadership.
- Border Security & Trade Overhaul: Constructed miles of border walls and implemented strict deterrence policies. Negotiated better economic deals and applied targeted tariffs to adjust trade imbalances and years of unfair trade practices by other nations.
We are better off in a number of ways as well, in areas such as:
- Balanced Economics and Trade: A focus on supply-side growth—lowering taxes and cutting red tape—over government spending, federal mandates, and green-energy incentives. We have more manageable inflation and lower energy costs than previously.
- National Sovereignty & Borders: Unapologetic nationalism (America First), secure physical border infrastructure, and bilateral trade negotiation over international agreements and global alliances. We have strong international deterrence via military strength, economic pressure, and a willingness for international deal making.
- Foreign Policy Shift: Moving from diplomatic-only engagement with adversaries to deterrence, economic sanctions, and direct peace deals between regional allies.
- Judicial Alignment: Appointing originalist judges to enforce a limited role for the federal government and protect conservative constitutional priorities. There have ultimately been far more judicial wins (in the end) than defeats to his agenda, despite constant overreaching lower-court rulings.
- Cultural Shift Toward Conservative Views: The pendulum has started to swing back toward the Judeo-Christian morality on which our country was founded. Freedom speech, backing away from corporate "pride" sponsorships, a movement to protect women's sports, the rejection of the woke language police, and much more is making a comeback.
Moral & Worldview Impact
Values at Stake: Constitutionally protected freedoms, cultural morality shifts, and even our form of government is at stake if the DSA socialists/communists and woke liberals take back the country. Like it or not, politics impacts all of our lives. All laws reflect or enforce someone's philosophy and beliefs, and stands against others. Will you stand on the sidelines and let someone else's be enforced just because you are not happy about a piece of the pie?
Why Should I Care?
It is important to get out of the echo chambers on a regular basis and listen to what others have to say, whether or not you agree with them. That said, there are enough voices out there that love to scream doom and gloom about everything Trump has ever said or done. This is meant to be a counter to that, and to provide a balance to those voices.
Key Accomplishments of the Trump Administration

- Institutional & Bureaucratic Reform: Exposed federal agency overreach, bringing heightened scrutiny and demand for transparency to organizations like the FBI and federal legal processes. These institutions have begun purging the deep state by getting rid of the people pushing lawfare and political prosecutions. New leadership is instituting policies that insist on constitutional law, proper evidence standards, and the protection of due process. While they are cleaning up the institutions like the FBI, many people have unrealistic expectations and misunderstandings of legal process, protection of innocent, statutory limitations, rules of evidence, etc. All facts (ala Epstein) are not evidence of crimes, and some far from prosecutable even if they were. Crime rates are down, murder rates are down, national guard deployments are up, and pressure is up on communities to do better policing. But at the end, people are policy and if bad people get back in, so can the corruption.
Some Ways America is "Better Off"
- Lower Inflation & Purchasing Power: Pre-COVID annual inflation averaged ~1.9%, allowing real wages to grow rather than being eroded by post-pandemic inflation surges that peaked over 9%. The fear of tariffs skyrocketing inflation never materialized, and instead brought greater investment and growth to the economy and jobs.
- Housing & Rental Affordability: Lower mortgage rates and steady housing supply kept homeownership achievable compared to the high-interest-rate environment that followed.
- Controlled Mass Migration Pressures: Stricter enforcement alleviated strain on local municipal budgets, public housing markets, and social services impacted by high migration volumes. Brought to light massive fraud and waste perpetrated by illegal immigrants, TPS holders, and associated NGOs. Mass immigration has been a large factor in the massive inflation of recent years.
- Domestic Energy Dominance: Abundant domestic production provided cheaper gas prices at the pump and lower utility bills than periods marked by green-energy restrictions and export pauses.
- Foreign Policy & World Peace: Maintained peace through strength, open dialog and negotiations, and forged new alliances throughout the world.
- Supply Chain Resiliency: Championed domestic manufacturing and targeted tariffs on China rather than relying on adversary nations for EV components and critical green-tech materials. They are bringing manufacturing jobs back to the US, including large investments in building things in America.
- Wide-spread rejection of Woke ideology in culture and the corporate world. More people are emboldened to stand up to liberal mob on issues like men in women's sports and corporations, transgenderism being forced into public policy and celebration, and Hollywood feeling the impact financially for their agenda driven movies.
- Business Certainty over Mandates: Prioritized pro-growth tax predictability over aggressive federal rules, EV mandates, and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) compliance burdens.
- Rejection of Foreign Green Alliances: Withdrew from non-binding climate compacts (like the Paris Accord) to prioritize domestic industrial self-reliance over global economic subsidies.
- Constitutional Federalism: Judicial appointments empowered state-level decision-making on major social and regulatory questions while protecting core Second Amendment freedoms.
- Targeted Foreign Aid & Iran Deterrence: Applied strict "maximum pressure" and froze financial lifelines to state sponsors of terror, preventing proxy funded network growth.
- Wage Growth for Working-Class Families: Lower-income workers saw faster wage growth percentages under tight, pre-COVID labor markets than under government-expansion economic models.

Caveats due to the Iran conflict
- Until the dust settles, the final outcomes are unknown. I'd rather be right than the first to make proclamation that turns out to be wrong!
- The oil markets have been volatile depending on the actions of Iranian attacks in the gulf and abroad.
- The stock markets likewise are up and down depending on the day, but are still at or near record highs.
- Prices are temporarily higher now than at the start of the conflict, but unless this spirals into a long-lasting global conflict, the projections are that prices will come way down in the long-term because of increased and diversified supply channels.
