Retcon
Scrubbing the internet and promoting alternative media stories to rebrand and change the narratives, thereby gaslighting the world to now believe what was previously seen is now not to be believed. This is done to rebrand public figures, politicians, events, and other inconvenient truths, by rewriting history. (e.g. turning Harlequin into Wonder Woman, or Darth Vader into Luke's father).
