Law-abiding Illegals
This is oxymoronic, since no person is illegal. Sanctuary-bound officials vow to stand in the way of deportation efforts by the federal gestapo. Even violent criminals who’ve been convicted and who are undocumented, should not be handed over for deportation, since they are often potentially productive citizens providing valuable services to the community. Even under pain of arrest, local law enforcement is required to stand up for those law-abiding undocumented people, even if they have "technically" broken the law through
- unauthorized entry and continued presence
- repurposing someone else's identity (e.g. SSN, birth certificate, etc.)
- creative tax refund filings
- other "so-called" abuses of social services and benefits
