Given our post-coherence landscape and short attention spans, actual words don't matter more than the implied feelings and image.  So unflattering viral moments, word salads, and brain freezes should be reclaimed and celebrated by supporters, instead of ridiculed as detractors try to do.  These critics do so at their own peril, subject to arrest and/or prosecution, per Ministry of Love guidelines.

It is the responsibility of the Ministry of Truth, and its approved media outlets, to present a fair and equitable vision of current events which supports Big Brother and the goals of the Ministries.  It is irresponsible to highlight minor gaffes or missteps that would put our seasoned leader in a bad light, especially in view of the existential threat to power that the opposition brings.  All claims, lies, and actions of the insurrectionists must be forcefully denied and/or exposed, as appropriate.  It is never acceptable to acknowledge that they may have been right about something, since that might further their attempts to steal back power by misleading the people.  Anyone who might pose a threat to the progressive agenda needs to be exposed and removed from positions of influence!

Clumsy Words

Reporters have a responsibility to use words and to convey meaning with precision.  Unfortunately, sometimes even spokespersons of Ministry of Truth outlets fall short of perfect clarity, and open the door to people misinterpreting or not understanding the intended nuances, and end up hearing things that are quite different from what was actually communicated. Formal disinformation counseling sessions are highly recommended.
