Antiracist Math Training

Workshops teaching teachers to "identify, disrupt, and replace practices that perpetuate White supremacy."  Math liberators will learn to confront "oppressive practices in math instruction with practices that center the wellness of students of color" and have hands-on opportunities to practice their craft.  Harmful ideas to eliminate include: math being purely objective, that there are always right and wrong answers, and the need to track proficiency.

Diversity Math

A socially just, environmentally caring, and culturally appropriate pedagogy in which alternative solutions are praised, thereby deconstructing the idea that there are always right and wrong answers.  In a mathless Brave New World, there is no desire to preserve a failing, racist curriculum that was designed for elite, White male success.
